    New Executive Director for NEASS


    The New England Association of School Superintendents (NEASS) President and Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Dr. Lincoln D. Lynch III (Linc) has been retained as part-time Executive Director, effective January 1, 2020. Linc is a seasoned school leader specializing in the disciplines of School Finance and Operations; Human Resources; and, Strategic Planning. He has been a member of NEASS for many years. Duties include collaborating with New England superintendent members of NEASS to research, construct and communicate vibrant professional development opportunities, with a primary focus on the annual conference. In addition, Linc set goals to enhance the business operations including short-term and long-term financial stability.


    Dr. Lynch recently retired after serving twelve years as Superintendent of Schools for Walpole Public Schools, Massachusetts.  He currently serves part-time as Program Director and instructor for the MASS Superintendent Leadership Licensure Program, in partnership with the Boston College doctoral Professional School Administrator Program (PSAP). Occasionally he represents MASS as a Financial Advisor. Previous leadership positions include: Assistant to the Superintendent for Mansfield, Northboro/Southboro, and Auburn, Massachusetts. 

    Linc matriculated at Boston College earning a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction; and, he earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bryant University. He is a third generation public school superintendent.

    In 2018, he received the MASS President's Award for contributions to education. He has been president of Tri-county and "Just 12" superintendent roundtables, president of the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO), chairman of Bicounty Education Collaborative (BICO) and member of The Education Cooperative (TEC) Board of Directors. Dr. Lynch facilitated the creation of the first ever Five-Year Strategic Plan for the Walpole Public Schools, the BiCounty Collaborative, and the TEC educational collaborative.
